The Arton Group ("Arton") is a national, privately owned organisation based in Sydney.
A retirement and aged care specialist, Arton had been providing services to the over 55 sector since 1999, owning and operating retirement villages and aged care facilities in New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland. Arton is an established government-licensed aged care Approved Provider under the Commonwealth Aged Care Act.
Facilities owned and operated by Arton include:
Cumberland View Retirement Village – established in 1982, the village has 258 independent living units spread across 12.8 hectares (32 acres) of beautiful gardens, park-like lawns and walking tracks and is conveniently located within a 30 minute drive of Doncaster, the Dandenongs, Frankston and the Melbourne CBD.
Cumberland View Aged Care Living – also established in 1982 and recently upgraded and expanded, this aged care facility has 160 beds, is government licensed and funded and provides low care, high care and dementia accommodation. The aged care facility is located on 1 hectare (2.5 acres) of picturesque gardens and is conveniently located within a 30 minute drive of Doncaster, the Dandenongs, Frankston and the Melbourne CBD.
Jenny MacLeod Retirement Village – serving the Newcastle community for more than 20 years, the village has 89 two bedroom independent living units and 48 serviced apartments and is set amidst seven acres of cottage gardens, boardwalks and outdoor entertainment areas.
Kewarra Retirement Village – a new concept in over-55 living, the retirement village is a part of Arton's integrated oceanfront development located in the northern beaches of Cairns. This unique in Australia development provides all the benefits of retirement living plus access to all the facilities of the area's leading resort – Kewarra Beach Resort & Spa.
Australia's First Integrated Lifestyle Community – Arton is creating Australia's first integrated community comprising residential, retirement, aged care and resort living, all located on a 40 hectare (100 acre) site in the spectacular northern beaches of Cairns.
With a half-kilometre frontage to the Coral Sea and backing on to one of Australia's premier golf courses, this site is rich in native fauna and flora and includes mangroves, rainforest, open fields and has two creeks traversing the site and flowing out to the ocean.
In offering residential, resort, retirement and aged care accommodation in the one development, the services and facilities available in each are there for all. For example, those living in the residential area have access to the 24/7 on-site nursing care while those in our senior living community have access to, for example, all resort facilities.
New Aged Care Projects
Having recently received development approval, Arton will construct and then operate the following aged care facilities:
Newcastle on the Park Aged Care – to be built on 1 hectare (2.5 acres) of land opening onto the scenic Brickworks Park, this new facility is just 300 metres down Victory Parade from the Jenny Macleod Retirement Village. A 102 bed government licensed and funded aged care facility, Newcastle on the Park Aged Care will provide low care, high care and dementia specific accommodation for Jenny Macleod's residents as well as servicing residents from the surrounding suburbs.
Kewarra Aged Care – also a 102 room government funded and licensed aged care facility, this much needed facility will provide low care, high care and dementia specific accommodation for the aging residents of Tropical North Queensland and, for residents of Kewarra Retirement Village, the opportunity to remain in familiar surroundings as their care needs progress.
